Founded in 1999, we are a New York State not-for-profit
corporation and a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.

Our Mission:

to help females learn the mathematics—and "numbers-related" disciplines—they need to achieve their academic and career goals.

On July 30, 2014, the New York Times published an Op-Ed essay,The Girls Obama Forgot,” by Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw.  In a complementary letter to the Editor on August 4, 2014, co-writers Pamela Shifman and Gloria Steinem pointed out that “foundation funding directed to girls and women remains less than 7.5 percent of all foundation funding; funding dedicated to girls and women of color has, to our knowledge, never been counted.”

Like many organizations that are dedicated to helping females achieve economic security, Helicon, Inc. struggles because of insufficient financial support.  We always need donations—but we particularly need them this Summer of 2017 when we are conducting three incredibly important initiatives on behalf of women and girls of color:  the SHSAT Prep Course, the Algebra I Regents Examination Prep Course, and the Female Math Course.

We seek donations of any amount to support our

mathematics program offerings in New York City.

Thank you so much for giving!
